Jack & Jill AI Raises $20M Seed to Fix Recruiting with Autonomous AI Agents

London-based Jack & Jill AI has secured $20 million in seed funding led by Creandum to transform recruitment.

The six-month-old startup uses two conversational AI agents to match candidates with employers, bypassing traditional job boards entirely.

The Dual-Agent Recruiting System

Jack & Jill operate a dual-agent AI system. Founded in 2025 by Matthew Wilson (CEO) and Saaras Mehan (CTO), the startup addresses inefficiencies in hiring.

Jack engages job seekers through 20-minute voice conversations, gathering information about skills and career goals. He searches for roles, provides coaching, and conducts mock interviews. Jill works with companies.

She scans job descriptions, briefs talent teams, and identifies matching candidates. Jill reviews applicants, sources from LinkedIn, and conducts initial interviews autonomously.

The two agents interact and make direct introductions over email, creating fully autonomous matching.

10% Fee Model Undercuts Traditional Recruiters

Jack & Jill AI charges zero upfront fees. Job seekers use Jack for free. Companies pay 10% of base salary only when they hire through Jill.

This undercuts traditional agency recruiters by 50% while offering access to a far larger network.

Early results:

  • 49,000 job seekers in London
  • Hundreds of high-growth companies are using Jill
  • Faster time-to-hire
  • Significant cost savings

Breaking a 20-Year Recruitment Stalemate

The recruitment market is broken. Job boards generate 1,000+ applications within six hours. Most companies don't review them because the signal-to-noise ratio is extremely low.

AI is making it worse. Candidates use AI to mass-generate applications. Employers use AI to screen out candidates. The result is noisier than ever.

Jack & Jill isn't layering AI onto the existing system. It's reimagining recruitment entirely with autonomous agents for both sides.

There hasn't been major innovation in job search since LinkedIn and Indeed launched 20 years ago.

The seed round drew 75+ angel investors including F1 champion Nico Rosberg and executives from Lovable, Anthropic, and ElevenLabs.
