Dialogue AI Raises $6M Seed to Reinvent Customer Research

Dialogue AI, a Los Angeles-based startup redefining how companies conduct customer research, has raised $6 million in seed funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Other investors include Seven Stars, Uncommon Projects, The Tornante Company (founded by Michael Eisner), and angel investors such as the CPO of Discord, former CPO of Nextdoor, and former CTO of Match Group.

The funding will accelerate product development and scale its AI-native research platform that enables live AI-led customer interviews.

Inside Dialogue AI’s Mission

Founded in 2025 by Benjamin Lo, Justin Hoang, and Hubert Chen, Dialogue AI emerged from the founders’ experience at Nextdoor and other major tech companies like Apple and Twitter.

They built Dialogue to tackle inefficiencies in the $140 billion market research industry, bridging the gap between traditional qualitative studies and fast, automated insights.

Their AI interviewer conducts realistic, multi-threaded conversations to extract richer feedback — a leap forward from static surveys or asynchronous tools.

Why This Deal Matters?

This seed round underscores venture capital’s rising interest in AI-driven enterprise insight platforms.

As businesses demand quicker feedback cycles, Dialogue AI’s model offers meaningful differentiation — real-time conversations that emulate human interviewing while compressing the research cycle from weeks to hours.

Lightspeed’s Faraz Fatemi stated that Dialogue’s system addresses a bottleneck many research teams face: enabling every team member, not just analysts, to engage directly with customer insights.

Funds from this raise will go toward expanding go-to-market operations, enhancing enterprise integrations, and building out its autonomous research assistant capabilities.

Early adopters such as Wayfair, Square, Nextdoor, and Suno already use Dialogue to synthesize customer feedback into immediate, actionable insights.

However, its early traction with top-tier brands and strong investor roster suggest a promising path forward in the emerging autonomous research category.
