Vercel, the AI developer platform powering modern web and AI applications, has secured $300 million in a Series F funding round, valuing the company at $9.3 billion.

The round was co-led by Accel and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC, with new participation from BlackRock, StepStone, and Khosla Ventures. Existing investors GV, Salesforce Ventures, and Tiger Global also joined the round.

Inside Vercel’s Vision for the AI Cloud

Founded in 2015 by Guillermo Rauch, Vercel specializes in infrastructure for building, deploying, and scaling web applications — tools trusted by global names like OpenAI, Nike, and PayPal.

The company’s flagship projects, Next.js and v0, form the backbone of thousands of modern apps.

Vercel describes its mission as enabling developers to build at the “speed of ideas,” by merging AI-driven automation with scalable cloud performance.

The firm has doubled its user base in 12 months, reaching more than 3.5 million developers. Its annual recurring revenue crossed $200 million, underscoring the commercial momentum behind AI-native application platforms.

Why Investors Are Betting Big?

The surge of interest reflects a growing belief that AI infrastructure will define the next decade of software.

Vercel’s “AI Cloud” provides developers with an end-to-end environment to build intelligent agents and applications without managing backend complexity — a key advantage in the race for AI-first enterprise adoption.

CEO Rauch said the new capital will accelerate the expansion of Vercel’s AI Cloud services, enhance its security stack, and support v0 Mobile, a new product arriving this fall that allows developers to build with voice and camera inputs.

The company has also initiated a $300 million secondary tender to let employees and early investors realize liquidity — a growing trend in late-stage AI startups.

With a strong balance sheet and strategic investors on board, Vercel is well-positioned to dominate the AI infrastructure market.

The challenge ahead will be differentiating in an increasingly crowded space — but with products like v0 and Next.js, the company is already one step ahead.
